The 8th Hawaii-Kobe Conference on Applied Economics will be held by the Graduate School of Economics, Kobe University
The 8th Hawaii-Kobe International Conference on Applied Economics will be held by the Graduate School of Economics, Kobe University at 8:55-17:30, Wednesday, July 5, 2022 (Japan Standard Time). This conference will be held as a hybrid event: in person at Kobe University and online (Zoom). Outstanding researchers from, Hawaii, Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan will visit Kobe University and present their recent projects on applied economics.
The keynote speakers are Dr. Nori Tarui and Dr. Teresa Molina, a Professor of Economics and an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Dr. Tarui’s research explores the intersection between environmental issues, the energy market and international trade. His research has been published in the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of International Economics, and other prestigious journals. Dr. Molina’s research investigates labor market, education, health and gender issues in developing countries. Her research has been published in the Journal of the European Economic Association, Economic Journal, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Public Economics, and many other prestigious journals.
